About

Hello, my name is David and I’ve become a post office freak. It started by accident in early 2000 while trying to document places I’ve traveled too. Taking a photograph of the local post office, which most often has the name of the city or town, made for a nice backdrop and souvenir. After this first photograph I became intrigued about the differences in buildings and their unique character.

After discovering most post offices have more history, artifacts and artwork I’ve taken the time to photograph and document this. I remember stopping in the Erwin, TN post office and finding a large mural in the lobby. Not only did I take a photograph the exterior of the building, but I took several photos of the mural. Many years later I’m still finding interesting post offices.

Now that I’ve amassed a collection of photos, I’ve decided to share this with the rest of the world. Here you will find photographs and stories about my adventure visiting post offices. PostOfficeFreak.com is dedicated to showcasing post offices and post office related material. I hope you enjoy reading and I look forward to your comments and suggestions.
