As I was walking down Washington Ave, this one came into view. I was immediately like wow! Check out how cool this one is. The architecture and shape were the first things I noticed. The uniqueness of this building was a treat to see.
I visited the Miami Beach Post office while I was visiting in November of 2011. As we were looking for things to do, you guessed it. I suggested we find the post office and that’s exactly what we ended up doing.
The post office boxes were also interesting as they look to be the original brass boxes from the time the building was constructed. I also noticed a wooden bulletin board that appears to be a period piece. I’m really glad I stopped in to take a look at this wonderful building known as the Miami Beach Post office.
I was not able to find a dedicated plaque for this one. I’m guessing this may be old enough that plaques were not issued at the time. Something more to investigate.
